Hey shock u accused me of posting in the recruitment part saying some stuff to help bk gamble and it was not me y would it be me when i told u guys to check the ip in the first place?? and second bish and bigdaddy helped me find this: AOL users don't access your server directly, they have to go through proxies. An arbitrary number of users will be routed through the same proxy at any one time. What makes things even worse is that AOL tends to rotate their users through several proxies during the same session. It is not uncommon that successive page requests by the same user come from different IPs.
In other words: With users coming from AOL, there is no clear correlation between a person and an IP address. What you see in your logs is *not* the IP assigned to the users machine at that time. That doesn't mean that those "several" visitors can't be the same person, just that the IP isn't giving you any solid indication. All you know for sure that they're coming through AOL.

So take a look at that and for all u guys that dont know i do have aol and it was not me! so plzz stop accusing me ok?

To clarify, we have been having an issue in our forums with several people having the same IP and claiming to be different people. I found an article which explains that apparently it's possible for an AOL IP to belong to more than one person (though not consistently). I posted this in KUL's forum, which I assume is where Thrasher found it.

So then by that rationale, if the posts were posted a couple of days apart then there would be different IPs if they are different people. But if it is the same person the IP would be the same?
Not only that, what are the odds that all 3 of those people and yourself shared that exact IP adress?
4 different people with the same IP posting on the same forum on the same topic?

Look at the times too...Not sayin' that it actually WAS Thrash (Which I don't think it was), just sayin'...

BTW, when i posted about 4-6 mins after thrash did, i noticed that there were 3 Guests, 2 Members...them members being thrasher and me

With the new information that has come to light, no conclusions can be drawn, and no accusations can be proved. Saying that, I think it would be best from now on to just post in the areas and on the topics that are relevant to you.
