Shock said to come back to the forums, sooooooooooo. Since I can't find the thread about what constitutes a cheat, I'll start a new one. The other day on a certain map in funmaps there was some wall jumping and arguements about whether it was a cheat, a glitch, or nothing. I have heard both sides. One is where ones jumps, stops on top of wall and then jumps down. The other, which is what I was referring to at the time, is where you jump waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over that wall to score or get a base flag. Cool said those walls are supposed to be impossible to jump, so keep that in mind.

I "think" that if you jump, lay down on top of the wall, then jump into the base (WITHOUT PRONE-JUMPING!) isn't a glitch. But I definately agree with holding the Prone-Jump and you jump WAY over the wall. THAT IS a glitch in my mind. Just what I think, tell me what exactly is up with that map and what's a glitch and what's not.[/color]

good point xfive. the walls in that map ARE NOT MENT TO BE JUMPED OVER!!! if u jump, then go prone, and land, that is not a glitch. but if u jump, hold prone and jump, that is a glitch, because ur jumping higher and higher as u hold it until u stop. to me, a glitch is anything that isnt possible in RL, with the exception of falling down a hill, like prone-jumping or "walking on water" glitch

If this is the map with two horsehoe shaped bases, then it IS possible to jump into the rear of one of them with out proning. You just use the slight elevation, and jump onto the top of the wall that runs across the back of the base. ;D
It is not fair for the one team, but it is relatively easy to defend against. The bigger problem with that map is the respawn glitching, when people run through the front wall of the base during a respawn.

The superman prone jump is stretching a bit in my mind and I dont even attempt it, but jumping on top of the wall then springing back up to clear it is fine to me, but I also try to obey the rules of the server if I know what they are. Glitching can be a touchy subject since it is very possible to glitch and not realize it. I have caught myself many times shooting in the hils with a 50 and after 4-5 rounds have been pushed back far enough that the barrel of the gun has submerged itself in the dirt. While looking through the scope and not at my barrel I havent always noticed it. Now I try to check on a regular basis so that it doesnt happen. Also the roof glitch can be mistaken as well. If you lay down on the roof but scoot back to the back you can clearly see over the edge and your gun does not stick through the roof, however, you do limit your line of sight. Some people though, use this as an excuse to glitch and do shove thier gun into the indented roof part and just say it was an accident(and only they really know for sure) As in any game there are flaws and we just have to use common sense in trying to figure out what is a cheat(other than the obvious trainers) and what isnt. Everyone will have thier own views and these are just mine ;D

Yeah I'm talking about the horseshoe base map. COOL said those walls are supposed to be imposssible to jump. Either way, flying over that wall, not stopping and laying down on it, is b.s. Yes we all know about the respawn glitch where you can go through the wall if you aren't paying attention....................... and people have bitched about that to no end. This seems to be the map with the most cheating/glitching being bitched about.

In that map is possible to jump behind blue base. Not sure bout red.
From a small elevation, u jump to the first wall, and then inside the base.

Well I suggest that since COOL says that you shouldn't be able to jump into blues base that he should fix it...Plus, it DOES make the blue team have an advantage for flag runners  [/color]
